How To Install A Dog Door

The experts at Lowe's Home Improvement Stores have another great video for the do-it-yourselfers.  Have you wanted to install a dog door at your home?  Well Lowe's home improvement expert, Mike Kraft, demonstrates how to install one. Before installing, make sure to measure your dog for proper fit. Measure from the widest points, most likely shoulder to shoulder, and add two inches. Then measure from the shoulder to the bottom of the chest or belly (whatever is larger) and add two inches. These dimensions will help you choose the right size dog door. Note: allow for additional room if your dog is still growing.

And keep in mind - this is an opening to your home, consider security aspects when deciding to add a dog door.
