If You Have Not Been To The Dallas Arboretum, You Don't Know What You Are Missing!

If you have not visited the Dallas Arboretum And Botanical Garden you just don't know what you are missing!  Although the exhibits and gardens change regularly, there is always something beautiful and fascinating to enjoy.  One of the current special exhibits is the ZimSculpt (photo courtesy of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden website).  The exhibit features over 100 Zimbabwean stone sculptures, all hand carved and they are in display throughout the Dallas Arboretum gardens.  You can even meet the sculptors as they are on site and create new art daily.  Would you like to own a piece of Zimbabwean art?  You can find the perfect piece to purchase and take home to your own garden.  But you have to hurry to see this exhibit as it runs through July 31st.

And as with many things, membership has its privileges...members may enjoy morning walks and yoga along with other special member only calendar events.  Click on the logo above to go directly to the Dallas Arboretum And Botanical Garden website to learn all about the benefits of membership.

And from their website:

Our Mission

The mission of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is to build and maintain a public venue that promotes the art, enjoyment and knowledge of horticulture, while providing opportunities for education and research. We are committed to excellence, good management and fiscal responsibility.

The Dallas Arboretum Today

More than 1,096,000 visitors from all 50 states, as well as 90 countries, came through our gates in 2016. The Arboretum has been listed among the top arboretums in the world and the number of honors is so extensive it is listed on our website. The Dallas Arboretum is proud to offer the public an array of popular annual events, educational programs for children and adults, and an emphasis on family-oriented activities. Ground-breaking horticultural research conducted in our Trial Gardens continues to contribute to an important body of knowledge, both regionally and nationally.

Located on the shores of White Rock Lake, the Arboretum’s 66 acres include a complete life science laboratory with endless potential for discovery. The Arboretum has a 75 member Board of Directors, 120 full-time paid staff members, 50+ part-time paid staff members, and more than 273 active volunteers.
