Caring for your Lawn in the Fall
You really do not need to rake and bag all of the leaves in your yard this fall, you could just mulch them! Mulching your leaves and following up with a fall feeding will give you a healthy, green lawn next spring.

Great tips! I love this time of year.... I have my to do list :-)
Hi Lisa, In Virginia we have our lawns seeded and aerated. My back yard has a steep slope and unfortunately we had a lot of rain last week that washed most of the seeds away.
Lisa - the fall is very important for feeding your lawn. I do it every year and continue to see great growth in the spring.
This is one of the aspects of Fall and Winter that I don't have to worry about. We don't have many trees around here that lose their leaves so not a lot of raking to be done!
Sadly the leaves are falling quickly out here in Colorado right now as well. Converting them to mulch just makes such good sense.
Great tips, and all that raking of the leaves is very hard on the back. Thanks for this info.
Lisa, I don't even have a lawn and I found the video fascinating. Such a good use of the leaves and it serves such a good purpose.
Lisa good info, and now is the time to be doing this. Grass cutting is about over, and soon it will be snow blowing time (:
We usually grind them up with our lawn mower one final time and we are good to go.
Great information Lisa, I do wish the Summer was young. I bet you are glad it cooled off.
Good morning Lisa. Thanks for sharing the video, important info. We are fortunate to have someone that does our lawn work that for us that really knows his stuff.
Rake.mulch...backyard bonfires...mmmm..the smell of leaves fburning and toasting and roasting goodies...love this time of year !
