Those helpful folks at Home Depot have the information to educate you on not only how your toilet works, but how to help you repair it, even if you aren't a handy person...without calling a plumber.

Now this may not cover whatever ails your toilet, but it certainly might and can save you some money.

Lisa, I am glad I found out how to do some of these things to stop leaks myself. It certainly saves on plumbing bills.

we have one in our house with a slow leak right now.  Donald can fix it, but hasn't gotten a round to it yet.

Hey, Lisa! You can't have too many how to fix a toilet videos!

Lisa,I'm married to a builder but believe me I can fix one better than him. On the day I met one of my best friends, she had a flooding toilet and I fixed it. We laugh about it all the time!

Lisa Von Domek My husband wanted one of the swipe toilets.  It was fine until it started flushing on its own.  One call to the manufacturer to find out the thing has only two parts inside.  They shipped them overnight and, voila, toilet stopped flushing.  What they don't tell you is that you can't hang anything over that swipe button all the way up the wall.

Hi Lisa.  Gabe Sanders is too funny.  I hope his wife doesn't put him in the crapper head first.

Home Depot does a great job on the home improvement and repair world. I've done a few minor toilet repairs but there are some things that have happened that I won't take on. I'm willing to pay the plumber.

And I think Conrad Allen 's comment is right on target! LOL
