Lisa, I learned about white vinegar as a cleaner years ago and my best use of it is in tile and granite floors, it's doesn't streak and keeps the grout clean too.

White vinegar has a lot of uses.  It works well cleaning windows mixed with window cleaner, and I have used it with distilled water to add water to a battery and keep the acidity balanced.

I clean with baking soda and vinegar all the time.  I hate chemicals in my house.

Lisa, I know my housekeeper uses a lot of white vinegar, and have gotten used to the smell.

We have recommended customers experiencing slow or no draining dishwashers (from food or build up of powdered soap scum) to use vinegar with a hot water cycle or 2 (dish free) to help clear/clean the interior of the dishwasher as well as the pump and drain inlets and outlets. Great tip!
