One of my favorite summer events to attend and
enjoy is the Fourth of July celebration at Dallas' Fair
Park. Although there are a number of wonderful
events planned in and around the Dallas area all
weekend long, I still feel that the fireworks display
at historic Fair Park are the best. The festivities
include live music, water features and access to rides, games and concessions at the State Fair of Texas Midway. And, of course, the best areas to view the fireworks. You can click on the photo below for additional information directly from their website:
For those of you that may be new to Dallas, or just visiting for this Fourth of July Holiday weekend - you will be amazed at all there is to do and see in and around the area. Many of the suburban cities also host fabulous Fourth of July celebrations so there is sure to be fireworks near to any location that is convenient for you.
Our Texas Parks and Wildlife website offers all of the information that you need to enjoy a day of relaxing fun, whether on land or on the water. With the heavy rains that we have experienced for the past month, I encourage you to visit the site and verify which parks (particularly picnic areas) may have limited access or still be closed due to high waters. Yes, you read that correctly - some areas are still, literally, under water.
So enjoy your Fourth of July Holiday - have a safe and special celebration for Independence Day with all that Dallas has to offer.
