How To Donate After Dallas Police Slayings

It has been a tear filled Friday here in the Dallas area after the horrific events last night at a "peaceful" rally.  A growing memorial is filled with flowers and tributes to our Heroes in Blue brutally slain.  If you would like to donate to assist the families that lost loved ones, here is information provided by local news station Fox4news:

Twelve officers and a civilian was shot by a sniper Thursday night after a protest in downtown Dallas. Four Dallas Police officers and one DART Police officer were killed.

Prayers vigils are scheduled for Friday around the Metroplex and other ways to donate are popping up.

I found this poem online and could not find any copyright so I am sharing it as it is so appropriate for our loss.  To whomever wrote this, and PBF that I could not find a link to, Thank You.

Lisa- my heart aches for the 5 policemen who were killed, their families and those who were wounded.  My brother is a retired Houston Policeman, and I have 2 more family members who are on the force there.  This has to stop.

So sorry to hear of this tragedy Lisa, it is going to take a lot of prayers and good leadership to heal the divide in our country.

Hi Lisa.  The line got a little thinner due to the cowardly act of one (I don't buy that) person.  A truly sad day for America

Good morning Lisa. It has been an awful week in our nation. I pray for all and hope that this craziness stops. I also believe that we shouldn't keep exploring the backgrounds of the perpetrators because I think it encourages others to act.

Hi Lisa Von Domek your very first one ATODALLAS.ORG is a good one. There are no administrative costs coming out of your donation.

We all feel very bad about what has happened to your community.

Excellent Blog Lisa Von Domek - I knew you would write something about Dallas and there are just no words of comfort that I can think of, except to send prayers to all of the families, people of Dallas, and those of us who are outraged and saddened, because we are all affected . . .  what senseless acts that took lives and injured others . . .

Hello Lisa

As you know I don't watch the news but a friend at work told me about the police officers that lost their lives in Dallas.

I just don't understand why anyone would want to kill any human being let alone the men that protect our streets from the undesirables

Thanks for posting this info on how to donate and my prayers go out to all the friends & family of these officers!
