Counting My Blessings And Quotes To Consider After A Difficult Week

Once again, counting my blessings and wishing everyone multiple blessings
as well.

It has been a difficult week across the nation and particularly here in Dallas with the horrific slaying of our police officers.  There is no justification for racist behavior  and certainly no justification to target a group for the actions
of any individual.  Hate returns hate and the media seems bent on stirring negative emotions rather than focusing on the good that is all around.  If society is to survive we must be civilized and thoughtful in our words and deeds.  We must all hold ourselves accountable for both our actions and our inactions.  I believe these quotes from Edmund Burke stand the test of time:

Justice is itself the great standing policy of civil society; and any eminent departure from it, under any circumstances, lies under the suspicion of being no policy at all.

When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle.

A very great part of the mischiefs that vex the world arises from words.

Time for reflection and to take the time to smell the roses, be thankful for all you have and offer a prayer and a helping hand for those who are struggling.

To all, wishing you a peaceful week ahead.

Hi Lisa Von Domek , Years ago I was a State Police Dispatcher for about 15 years.  I saw what they had to put up with day in and day out.  We had several of ours die in the line of duty during that time.  I feel for their children and wives who were left to carry on without them.

It ha been a horrible week for sure and the actions of a few can have so many far reaching negatives.  Hopefully stronger heads will prevail and this will be resolved peacefully.

Black Lives Matter is a terrorist organization that advocates the genocide of the white race, and the murder of Police Officers.  They are encouraged and endorsed by Obama, by most of the Tech Companies, by MSM, by most University professors, by Hollywood, and by others on the left.

Prayer is definitely in order.  Our nation is on the brink of extinction.

Good morning Lisa.  I am hoping that we all learn from this tragedy and the differing factions will come together and be stronger because of it.

It is, indeed, a very good time to count our blessings.

Have a very special week.

Hi Lisa... been thinking of you for days now... horrific events are magnified when they happen in the city in which you live. As a New Yorker, I'm very aware of this. Here's wishing you and your fellow Dallas residents a more peaceful week ahead.

Good morning Lisa. I am miffed by the media telling us again all about the perpetrators. I have no interst in them and think it encourages others. So sorry.

I wonder when it will end, if it ever will end.  It seems like something like this is happening too frequently these days.

Too many incidents like makes me wonder if we are going backwards toward the 50's.

Lisa, I'm so frustrated with the media and their sensationalizing of not only recent events, but it seems to be the way they do business. Can't say that I respect any media outlet anymore.
