Seriously, did you see that? We were this close to catching that squirrel this time...no, really! Honest, what do you mean we may be too slow to catch squirrels, next you will say you wouldn't love to have a rescued "child" just like one of us! We were lucky, our "parents" rescued us when we were only 12 weeks old and cute as buttons - they even knew that we were going to get big...really big...and they still adopted us! If you have room in your heart and home, won't you consider visiting Operation Kindness today and adopting a dog or cat - they would love a "furever" home for the Holidays!
Sincerely,
Heidi and Heinreich (Then and Now photos)
Operation Kindness was founded in 1976 and is the oldest and largest no-kill shelter in North Texas. We are a nonprofit animal welfare organization that cares for homeless or unwanted cats and dogs in a no-kill environment. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. We care for all the animals we take in until they are adopted. Find out more About Us...

They are adorable and from what I have seen with our resuces and others they are very grateful.
Thank you Joe Pryor these are just two of our five four-legged kids - and they are all wonderful!
Hi Lisa - Happy looking doggies, and a nice shout out for a great program. (Our guys learned a long time ago that they're too slow to catch anything with legs or wings - they don't even try anymore.)
All of mine still go running after anything that moves Dick Greenberg but only three of them are young enough to be a threat to the wildlife!
Good afternoon Lisa. I remember when you adopted these two. We are absolutely on the same page today. I'm starting to think about a 5th now./
Sheila Anderson My friend, our hearts are so alike! And, go for it - then we'll have the same number of "kids"!
How wonderful. We love to see these kind of adoption stories. This is a good reminder for folks thinking about adding a pet to the household. D
Thank you Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD all of our kids have always been rescues. We rescue them, they rescue our hearts!
We cannot do enough for the precious animals that are abandoned and/or abused. Adoption is the only way to go!
You know that I agree Kathleen Daniels I agree 110%!
Oh, just LOOK at those faces, those expressions! How glorious to have landed in pup paradise! Dogs give us so much more than we can EVER reward them with, just by being themselves.
Thank you Gayle Rich-Boxman Fishhawk Lake Real Estate as their mom, I am, of course, prejudiced...LOL
Dogs give unselfish love!
Good morning Lisa.
What do you think would happen if they caught that squirrel? I see you have a new photo. Nice, very nice, BTW they are a good looking pair.
I'm curious if you are recruiting Michael Phelps to join your office.
I shudder to think James Dray the squirrel would not fare well I am afraid.
And thank you - I met Michael at the NAR Conference and had to share the photo
How did you guess Gabe Sanders ?!!
Good afternoon Lisa - how nice I have missed seeing pictures of your kids.
Hi Lisa... my heart is melting! I've kind of adopted another cat... it wanders my neighborhood... very pretty and friendly black cat. Shows up for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Now that it's colder at night it sleeps on a chair cushion on my front porch and I cover it with a blanket. (Can't let it in the house or my cat Oliver would have it for lunch or dinner; Oliver doesn't play so nicely with other cats while he does tolerate dogs.)
Hello Grant Schneider I realized that I have been remiss on posting photos of my "kids". So happy that you like to see them!
How sweet Nina Hollander I'd love to see a photo of Oliver and your new adopted cat!
Lisa, so many of my friends have recue dogs, and with all of their quirks, they all seem so grateful!
Lisa, I've had four rescues in a row, and I wouldn't have it any other way. They seem to appreciate it so much. Love the new profile pic.
They certainly are Patricia Kennedy they know what abandonment is and they love being loved!
I agree Mike Cooper the rescue "kids" give so much unconditional love! And, thank you, I couldn't resist sharing my photo with Michael Phelps!
Good morning, Lisa... ask and ye shall receive. I actually have two "adopted" porch cats who come to eat at my home, but one is probably ferrel... she now lets me pet her but not much more and would run away if I tried to take her picture.
Nina Hollander They are beautiful! Thank you for sharing the photos, please give them a treat for me
Aw, Lisa, they are adorable. There is nothing like being a pet parent - those faces when you come home, they don't ask for money, they're always happy to see you. What a great deal.
I hope many of the pets at Operation Kindness find wonderful forever homes this holiday season.
Thank you Elyse Berman, PA, CRS there is nothing like the unconditional love from a pet!
Lisa Von Domek Don't I know it! I have the little guys!
