Chilly Weekend Weather In Dallas Stay Indoors And Explore The Perot Museum

Although any day is a good day to visit the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas - rainy days are perfect for indoor fun.  I am a huge fan of the Perot Museum and it is always fun to bring out-of-town guests there.  If you have not yet visited the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, I highly recommend making plans to visit it in the very near future.  As their website offers:

Inspiring the visionaries of tomorrow

The Perot Museum of Nature and Science located in Victory Park, near Downtown Dallas is said to be a "world of wonder" by The Dallas Morning News. Passing the test of school children, inspiring curiosity in all ages and boasting as a living science lesson, this new Museum opened its doors to the public on December 1, 2012. Get ready to amaze your brain through hands-on learning experiences.

We invite you to explore this site to learn more about the new Perot Museum: watch a time-lapse video of the building as it was built, learn about the building, the halls and exhibits, the programs, and the fundraising campaign and how you can contribute to the Perot Museum. Plus, learn how the incredible generosity of the Perot family and other wonderful donors turned a dream into the start of something big.

ABOUT YOUR VISIT

All visitors, both members and non-members require a ticket for general exhibits visits. We strongly suggest reserving your ticket(s) online in advance of your visit to avoid long lines at the Museum and possible sellouts.

Be prepared to show your printed ticket(s) or ticket barcode on your smartphone upon entering the Museum on your designated visit day.

Please note that all tickets are for timed entry at 30-minute intervals starting daily at 10am.

I love nature and science museums and I am sure that Mr. Perot did a generous endowment to make it excellent.

We typically visit museums when traveling. We did the Science Museum and the Chicago Museum while in Chicago in November.

Lisa, another great place in Dallas to visit for residents and visitors alike. Kids especially love these type of museums.

Oh, that definitely is a place that I would like to visit, Lisa! I was a nurse so, math and science are my strong suits and I do love learning too.

I will be in your area the first of February for the CRS Sell-a-Bration but, won't have time to visit the museum - wish I had taken an extra day though!

Have a wonderful Sunday, Lisa!

Morning Lisa.

I've got 5 great grand-kids that would love this.  Keeping up with them would be the issue.

Great suggestion, Lisa. It was 70 degrees here on Friday and this morning it's 23 degrees. I'd love to have a reason to go to a museum today, but alas have to show property this afternoon!

Endre Barath, Jr. it's actually the children that donated in honor of their parents Ross and Margot ...here's a clip from the history of:

In May 2008, the five Perot children donated $50 million to the new Victory Park location of the Museum of Nature & Science in Dallas in honor of their parents, Margot and Ross Perot. Their gift represents the greatest amount ever given to the Museum and is believed to be one of the single-largest cash gifts to a Dallas museum. The new location will be named in the family's honor.
