Once again I went in search of “freebies” for Veterans, as so many restaurants and other businesses are honoring our Heroes with specials to thank them for their service this Veterans Day. I want to thank Military.com for posting this wonderful list with weblinks for easy information. And, of course, a big thank you to all of the companies that are participating and celebrating our service men and women. I am grateful for our Heroes - where would we be without our Veterans and active duty service personnel! The following is a list of restaurants offering special meals and other companie with discounts and freebies in honor of Veterans Day, as posted by Military.com:

Hi Lisa Von Domek - Here is hoping for fair weather tomorrow. ...Our Veterans deserve it.
Good morning Lisa. I hope you will have the opportunity to view the Dallas Veterans Day parade.
Good afternoon Lisa - there are so many restaurants giving free meals to veterans. The vets deserve this. And this is a special day in history with the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended World War I.
Lisa rain or shin a parade is a great way to start the day honoring our Veterans.
Wearing layers and a hat Wayne Martin I don't want an umbrella that might spoil the view of the parade for others!
Despite the predicted inclement weather Lise Howe I believe there will be a large turn out to celebrate our Veterans!
I agree Sheri Sperry - MCNE® our Heroes certainly do!
That is the plan Gabe Sanders but I have a sore throat and I'm hoping it's not worse in the morning - I won't spread germs and get anyone sick!
Grant Schneider isn't it wonderful the way so many are coming together to celebrate our Heroes?! Hard to believe it's the 100th year Anniversary of the Armistice!
I agree George Souto our Heroes (and, Thank You again for your service) deserve a parade every day!
It has been cold but we escaped any rain or snow. The sun make it feel better and shown bright on our Veterans Day celebrations.
Lisa, what a great post and I am sure the Veterans will march proudly even in the rain... on a side note I mentioned before you should consider building the ARK, Endre
Morning Lisa.
Yes ma'am the mix is to start around 9AM. Around here, it will surely make most people stay at home.
Hope you had better weather than anticipated for this parade of recognition and well deserved gratitude.
Woke to 40 degrees outside and more rain Debbie Reynolds and hoping the rain ends for the big parade to celebrate our Heroes!
James Dray we missed the wintery mix this morning (but more rain, rain, rain!) a "hard" freeze is expected tonight. With all of the rain we have had, the roads will have icy patches where there is still standing water....no fun tomorrow!
Thank you Endre Barath, Jr. and Thank You (Again) for your service! We can never do enough for our Heroes and I am hoping the rain ends in time for the big celebration parade!
Hello Sally K. & David L. Hanson it is simply miserable out right now, but the rain is supposed to end in time for the big parade for our Heroes!
There have been many Veterans Day activities in our area. We have cold weather but no rain or snow.
It was so disappointing that Mother Nature rained out our event Roy Kelley
In an all volunteer army most serve and die are underprivileged. We must thank them that they contribute more for the peace keeping of our country.
